Payment Providers

This page allows the admin to select the payment providers that the site can use to process payments. Depending on which options are enabled on this page some options will be displayed or removed from the Admin Control Panel navigation.

DEPRECATED: The integration with Authorize.NET has been deprecated. For credit card payment processing, the recommended integration is with Stripe.

PayPal Enabled - If enabled, PayPal's Website Payments Standard service is available as a checkout option. This payment method redirects users to PayPal's website to complete the payment and then redirects back to your website afterwards.

Authorize.NET Enabled - If enabled, the software will connect to your Authorize.NET account and Checkout with Credit Card will be available as a checkout option. This payment method allows users to submit credit card payments without leaving the website.

Stored Credit Cards - If enabled, all associated credit card data forms will appear to the users. Credit card data can be saved on your website for future purchases.

Stripe Enabled - If enabled, the software will connect to your Stripe account using the Connect API and Checkout with Credit Card will be available as a checkout option. This payment method allows users to submit credit card payments without leaving the website.

Note: Stripe saves credit cards remotely on stripe.com for use with future purchases.

Note: Authorize.NET and Stripe work in different ways and only one can be used. Enabling Stripe will disable Authorize.NET and Stored Credit Cards because Stripe does not store credit cards locally (on the site's database). Authorize.NET requires Stored Credit Cards to be enabled. PayPal however, can be enabled alongside Stripe or Authorize.NET.

User Credit Cards

Require for Sellers (for site fees) - If enabled, a Seller will be required to have an unexpired credit card on file before creating new listings or lots.

Require for Buyers (for site fees) - If enabled, the bidder/buyer will be required to have an unexpired credit card on file before before placing bids, making purchases or submitting offers.

Require for Buyers (sales invoices) - If enabled, Buyers will be required to have an unexpired credit card on file before placing bids, making purchases or submitting offers IF the seller account is linked to either Authorize.net or Stripe for credit card processing.

Note: Bidders may be prompted to enter a credit card twice if both seller and site use different Stripe accounts for payments.
