Preferences

This section provides settings specific to Auction Lots associated with an Event.

Max Images Per Item - The maximum number of images a seller can upload for each lot.

Use jQuery Time Picker - If enabled, the jQuery Time Picker will be available on the Create Lot page 2 of 2.

Enable Buyer's Premium - If enabled, sellers can choose to add a percentage premium to the final cost of a Lot.

Note: This feature can be used independently from the Buyer Final Fee, which adds a line item to the buyer’s Site Fee Invoice for each sale.

Enable Per Lot Fee - If enabled, this allows sellers to define a flat fee (alongside or instead of a percentage Buyer's Premium fee) for each sold lot.

  • Can be set from the Event Setting page.
  • Default value can be set from the My Account > Listing Preferences > Payment page.
  • Do not apply to listings that are not a part of an auction event.
  • Are calculated on the Sales Invoice and can be disabled for each individual lot.
  • Can be optionally set as taxable from the Admin Control Panel > Billing & Fees > Taxes page.

Enable YouTube Videos - If enabled, sellers will be able to attach a YouTube video to their Lots.

Enable PDF Attachments - If enabled, sellers will be able to attach one or more PDF documents to their Lots.

Enable "Bold" listing option - If enabled, sellers will be able to select the "Bold" option.

Enable "SALE" banner listing option - If enabled, sellers will be able to select the "Sale Badge" option.

Enable "Highlight" listing option - If enabled, sellers will be able to select the "Highlight" option.

Restrict Custom Field Edits - If enabled, this will disallow the custom fields from being changed once bids are placed.

Enable Public Q & A - If enabled, authenticated users can post questions publicly on any Active or Preview Lot.

Enable Watch Count - If enabled, the Lot detail page will display a count of the number of users currently watching.

Enable Non-Auction listings - If enabled, sellers will be allowed to create Fixed Price and/or Classified Listings separate from Auction Lots/Events.

Note: Enabling Non-Auction Listings will reveal two new settings pages in the Admin Control Panel > Auction section. Both Fixed Price and Classified Listing types need to be enabled individually from their setting pages.

Make Offer Expiration Hours - When buyer's make an offer to a seller, the offer expires in this number of hours, or when the Lot ends, whichever comes first.

Enable Make Offer Notifications - If enabled, buyers and sellers will receive email notifications when offers are sent, received, accepted, declined or countered.

Note: each individual notification type can be enabled or disabled from the CMS > Email Templates area.

Allow Multiple Offers - If enabled, buyers may submit more than one offer on the same Lot before the first offer has been accepted, declined or counter-offered on by the seller.

Show Watchlist Icon - If enabled, Watchlist bookmark icon is shown on listings.
